Binge Watch TV Shows on Netflix - Fall 2016 Edition

by - 10/02/2016 02:00:00 PM

As Fall rolls around, it starts to get chilly and cold, and overall just really gloomy. The best way to cope about the idea that summer is really, truly gone, is to grab some tea, wear your favorite sweater, grab your fluffy blanket, and binge watch some good ass TV shows on Netflix.

Drama TV Shows:

1. Stranger Things

If you haven't see this show, what the hell are you doing with your life?!? "Selena, I don't wanna be on the band wagon with everyone else!" Who cares about the damn band wagon! Enjoy the mystery and suspense of this incredible TV show.

Cuddle up in your blankets and pillows when strange things start happening (haha, see what I did there?). Not only is the plot and characters phenomenal, but the actors are AH-MA-ZING.

The show's main narrators are kids, and let me tell you, I have never seen child actors this good - ever. I'm not just saying that because of the shows popularity, but because they literally are that good. "You're lying Selena." Well, only one way to find out. Watch it!!

2. BBC Sherlock

Want a show that makes you think? Then BBC's Sherlock is the TV show for you. "But Selena, I hate detective shows!" Well, now is the time to start loving them.

This show's plot and structure is so thoroughly thought out and complex to a point where the universe doesn't make any sense after I'm done with an episode. Not only does it keep you clinging to that hot cup of tea of yours, but it's also full of humor.

Humor? Yes, humor. Sherlock fucking Holmes is a pain in the ass, but a clever and funny one to a point where I am jealous of John Watson. Their chemistry is so on point (kinda like my Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte). Plus, let's not forgot about how hot these two guys are.

A small warning about this show: In each series (series = season), there are generally about three episodes (except series three). The downfall? Each episode is about a movie length long (120 minutes). So if you start this, commit some time and patient. But I promise you, you will have so much fun watching it.

3. Quantico

Want some scandal, betrayal, and romance mixed all into one? Then Quantico is the one for you! This show is full of scandal and betrayal that it'll make you wanna scream and throw that pillow of yours at your TV.

The show follows Alex, an FBI Agent that is accused of a terrorist attack she did not commit (or did she?). It flips between present day and past time, where it shows her training at Quantico with her fellow FBI friends.

Not only does it involve scandal and betrayal, but it also involves some hot and complicated love stories (yes, that is plural).

Season 1 is on Netflix, and Season 2 is currently airing on ABC! Catch up before it's too late.

4. Daredevil

Want an action packed TV shows with superheros and villains? Then Matt Murdock is your guy! "But Selena, I'm not that interested in superheros and stuff." First of all, I am so sorry to hear that. Second, you should give Matt Murdock a chance. Why? Well, explain to me how a blind man can become a bad ass superhero.

He's blind?!? Exactly. Daredevil follows Matt Murdock and his friend Foggy who open up a law firm. Not only are they trying to fight crime within the court, but they are trying to protect the city.

With crazy villains and action packed episodes, you will never get bored during this TV show. And let's not forgot about how amazing Matt Murdock is. He's a fearless warrior with consideration for everyone in the city (literally everyone). He's also pretty nice to look at.

Comedy TV Shows:

1. New Girl

New Girl is hands down the funniest TV show I have ever watched. The characters all have their own quirks and problems, and when combined together, it makes a great and entertaining atmosphere.

Jess, played by the wonderful Zooey Deschanel, moves into an apartment with three guys after getting dumped by her boyfriend, and already that situation is messed up.

Throughout the TV show, you get to follow them through their struggles and embarrassing moments. All the characters have their own little quirks and habits, and is highly entertaining to watch.

2. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

This show is also one of the funniest TV shows I have ever seen in my life. It's filled with humor and fun (and stupid) music that will be sure to make your day.

The show follows Kimmy, an ambious and outgoing women who was who was kidnapped at a young age. She returns 15 years later into the city of NY to redeem the years she missed. She meets funny and memorable people who will be sure to give you the laughs.

Kimmy's journey is one of my favorites to go on, and I watch this TV show whenever I feel down. It truly is hilarious and clever. I highly recommend this TV show if you want a fun and light- hearted show to cheer you up!

(Let's also not forget how catchy and awesome the theme song is.)

3. Parks and Recreation

This show has dry humor, but the characters are what makes this TV show so amazing.

Like New Girl, each character has their own quirks and pet peeves and when combined together, it makes a great and hilarious TV show.

The show follows an energetic Leslie Knope who works in the parks and recreation department in the wonderful city of Pawnee. Leslie and her team is a phenomenal group of people to follow, making this show so amazing and wonderful.

I have to be honest, it was a little hard for me to get into this show, but I promise, it is totally worth it.

4. Friends

This is a throwback Thursday TV Show, am I right?? If you want a retro, light-hearted TV show that will guarantee to make you laugh, then Friends is the show for you!

I mean, this is the most watched TV Show on Netflix, so you kinda have to watch it. It follows six friends, and within this group of friends, you get to discover their journeys and mistakes right along with them.

These episodes are quick and easy to watch. Plus, they are hilarious. Trust me, you will fall in love with each and every one of these characters, and it will be the best thing that has happened in your entire life.

Well, there you have it! I hope you take my TV shows into consideration. If not, that's totally fine. If you have any other TV shows that you want to recommend, leave a comment below or email me! Also, if you do watch these TV shows, let me know!
